GSK-2879552 is a selective and potent inhibitor of lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1, KDM1A). By targeting KDM1A, GSK-2879552 induces the transcriptional activation of putative KDM1A target genes and modulates epigenetic gene regulation. This targeted inhibition leads to robust, predominantly cytostatic antiproliferative activity across small cell lung cancer cell lines and suppresses tumor growth in xenograft models.
