GPNA hydrochloride is a substrate of γ-glutamyltransferase (GGT) and an inhibitor of the glutamine transporter ASCT2. By blocking ASCT2-mediated glutamine uptake, it disrupts cellular amino acid homeostasis, suppresses mTOR signaling, and attenuates cell proliferation. Additionally, GPNA inhibits sodium-dependent carriers SNAT1, SNAT2, SNAT4, and SNAT5, as well as LAT1 and LAT2 transporters, serving as a key tool for investigating glutamine metabolism in cancer research. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
