Gliquidone is a potent ATP-sensitive K+ channel antagonist belonging to the sulfonylurea class. By inhibiting ATP-sensitive potassium channels in pancreatic beta cells, it induces membrane depolarization and triggers voltage-gated calcium channel activation. This elevated intracellular calcium influx stimulates the exocytosis and release of insulin. Gliquidone thereby modulates glucose homeostasis through regulation of the KATP channel signaling pathway. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
