FAZ-3532 is a small-molecule G3BP inhibitor that targets G3BP1 to modulate stress granule dynamics. By disrupting interactions within the NTF2L domain of G3BP1, it inhibits the co-condensation of G3BP1, Caprin1, and RNA, thereby blocking intracellular stress granule formation. This pathway disruption impairs stress granule assembly without affecting G3BP1 dimerization, providing a functional tool to investigate host innate immune responses and stress signaling during viral infection. Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
