Escitalopram Oxalate is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that potently targets the serotonin transporter (SERT). By blocking SERT-mediated reuptake of serotonin in the synaptic cleft, it elevates extracellular serotonin levels and enhances serotonergic neurotransmission. In preclinical studies, escitalopram demonstrates high selectivity for SERT over other neurotransmitter transporters and receptors, significantly modulating central serotonergic signaling and downstream behavioral phenotypes in model systems. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
