Epoxomicin (BU-4061T) is a selective 20S proteasome inhibitor that primarily targets chymotrypsin-like activity, while trypsin-like and peptidylglutamyl peptide-hydrolyzing activities are inhibited at 100- and 1000-fold reduced rates. Disruption of proteasomal protein degradation impairs NF-κB pathway activation, exerts anti-inflammatory effects, and promotes apoptosis. Additionally, epoxomicin is widely used to induce animal models of Parkinson's disease. [1][2]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
