EI1 is a selective inhibitor of wild-type EZH2 and EZH2 Y641F. By inhibiting EZH2 methyltransferase activity within the PRC2 complex, EI1 reduces global histone H3 lysine 27 trimethylation (H3K27me3) levels. This inhibition blocks cellular proliferation and suppresses cell growth in EZH2-mutant diffuse large B-cell lymphoma cells. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
