Ebastine is a potent second-generation histamine H1 receptor antagonist used for studying allergic disorders. By selectively blocking histamine H1 receptors, ebastine prevents histamine-mediated downstream signaling activation, leading to suppressed vascular permeability, reduced mucosal swelling, and inhibited smooth muscle contraction. These actions mitigate acute hypersensitivity reactions and alleviate inflammatory phenotypes associated with allergic responses in preclinical models.

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
