Ordering Information

Biological Activity

DRB18 is a pan-glucose transporter (pan-GLUT) inhibitor that targets GLUT family-mediated glucose uptake. By blocking GLUT-dependent glucose transport into cancer cells, DRB18 suppresses intracellular glycolytic flux and energy metabolism, thereby impairing cell survival, growth, and proliferation across multiple cancer cell types. This disruption of cellular glucose utilization highlights GLUT inhibition as a viable strategy to target metabolic vulnerability in oncogenesis. [1][2]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
