Ordering Information

Biological Activity

CM10 is a potent inhibitor of the aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A (ALDH1A) family, targeting ALDH1A1, ALDH1A2, and ALDH1A3 isoforms. By inhibiting ALDH1A enzymatic activity, CM10 disrupts retinoic acid signaling pathways and cellular detoxification mechanisms. This inhibition leads to the suppression of cancer stem cell self-renewal, reduced cell viability, and the induction of apoptotic cell death, thereby demonstrating robust anti-cancer activity. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
