Clorprenaline HCl is a synthetic β2-adrenergic receptor agonist that exerts potent bronchodilatory action. Engagement of β2-adrenergic receptors stimulates adenylate cyclase via Gs protein signaling, increasing intracellular cAMP concentration and activating protein kinase A (PKA). This downstream cascade facilitates intracellular calcium sequestration, inhibits airway smooth muscle contraction, and promotes significant expansion of bronchial tissue pathways. [1]
