Biological Activity
CK-636 is an Arp2/3 complex inhibitor that inhibits actin polymerization induced by human Arp2/3 complex (IC50 =, fission yeast Arp2/3 complex (IC50 = 2, and bovine Arp2/3 complex (IC50 =. By binding at the interface between Arp2 and Arp3 subunits, it blocks conformational changes required for activation, thereby suppressing actin filament nucleation and cell migration. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
