Biological Activity

CA-074 is a selective inhibitor of cathepsin B with a Ki value of. By targeting the lysosomal cysteine protease cathepsin B, CA-074 disrupts endolysosomal protein degradation and downstream proteolytic signaling pathways. Consequently, inhibition of cathepsin B by CA-074 impairs autophagic flux, attenuates cellular invasion, and modulates apoptotic signaling in various in vitro cellular models. [1]
