Biological Activity

BzATP triethylammonium salt acts as a potent agonist of P2X purinergic receptors, demonstrating functional activation across recombinant P2X receptor subtypes including P2X1, P2X3, P2X4, and P2X Activation of these ligand-gated cation channels stimulates rapid intracellular calcium influx to modulate downstream purinergic signaling pathways, influencing neuroinflammatory processes and pore formation in various cell types. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
