Buspirone HCl is a selective serotonin 5-HT1A receptor partial agonist with additional affinity for dopamine D2 receptors. By binding to presynaptic 5-HT1A autoreceptors and postsynaptic receptors, Buspirone inhibits serotonergic neuronal firing and modulates downstream adenylate cyclase activity and neurotransmitter release. These actions alter serotonergic and dopaminergic signaling pathways to exert potent anxiolytic effects without inducing significant sedation or muscle relaxation. [1][2]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
