Biological Activity

BTYNB is a potent and selective inhibitor of IGF2 mRNA-binding protein 1 (IGF2BP1/IMP1) that impairs IMP1 binding to target transcripts, including c-Myc mRNA. By disrupting the IGF2BP1-RNA interaction, BTYNB downregulates β-TrCP1 mRNA levels and attenuates downstream NF-κB signaling, leading to reduced nuclear factor-kappa B activation and suppression of tumor cell proliferation and growth.

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
