BTSA1 is a pharmacologically optimized small-molecule activator of BAX (BCL-2-associated X protein) that binds with high affinity and specificity to its N-terminal activation site. This interaction triggers BAX conformational changes, oligomerization, and mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilization, thereby driving mitochondrial apoptosis. Consequently, BTSA1 potently induces apoptotic cell death in leukemia cell lines and acute myeloid leukemia patient samples while sparing healthy hematopoietic cells. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
