Bromfenac Sodium is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that acts as a potent inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). By blocking COX-mediated conversion of arachidonic acid into pro-inflammatory prostaglandins, it effectively suppresses downstream COX-driven inflammatory signaling pathways. This enzymatic inhibition results in decreased vascular permeability, reduced tissue edema, and suppression of inflammatory cellular phenotypes. [1]
