Biological Activity

Bleximenib oxalate is a small-molecule inhibitor targeting the menin-mixed-lineage leukemia 1 (menin-MLL) interaction. By disrupting the binding between menin and MLL, it alters chromatin accessibility and downregulates key downstream leukemogenic target gene expression, including HOXA9 and MEIS1. This disruption subsequently suppresses leukemia cell proliferation, blocks cell cycle progression, and promotes differentiation in MLL-rearranged cancer models. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
