Biological Activity

Bireociclib (XZP-3287) is a potent inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (CDK4) and cyclin-dependent kinase 6 (CDK6). By selectively targeting CDK4 and CDK6, it disrupts the CDK4/6-cyclin D complex and prevents retinoblastoma (RB) protein phosphorylation. This inhibition blocks the transition from G1 to S phase in the cell cycle, leading to G1-phase arrest and suppression of cellular proliferation in cyclin D-dependent tumor models. [1][2]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
