Bexarotene is a synthetic, highly selective agonist of retinoid X receptors (RXRα, RXRβ, and RXRγ). Upon binding to RXRs, it induces homodimerization or heterodimerization with other nuclear receptors, such as retinoic acid receptors, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors, and vitamin D receptors. This conformational activation modulates gene transcription pathways governing cellular differentiation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis in preclinical tumor models. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
