Biological Activity

Sevabertinib (BAY 2927088) is a non-covalent, reversible, and selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting mutant EGFR and HER2. It effectively suppresses signaling driven by EGFR and HER2 exon 20 insertion mutations in non-small-cell lung carcinoma models. By inhibiting receptor autophosphorylation and downstream oncogenic cascades, including the AKT and MAPK pathways, it blocks cell proliferation and induces apoptosis in mutant-driven tumor cells. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
