AZD0156 is a potent and selective inhibitor of ataxia telangiectasia mutated (ATM) kinase, a critical regulator of the cellular DNA damage response. By selectively blocking ATM signaling, AZD0156 prevents DNA damage checkpoint activation and disrupts double-strand DNA repair pathways. This inhibition promotes tumor cell apoptosis and suppresses cell survival, demonstrating significant chemo- and radio-sensitizing antineoplastic activities in cancer cell models. [1]
