Biological Activity

AZD5069 is a potent small-molecule antagonist of the chemokine receptor CXCR2 that selectively blocks CXCL8-mediated signaling. By inhibiting CXCR2 receptor activation, AZD5069 disrupts downstream intracellular signaling cascades, thereby suppressing neutrophil migration, chemotaxis, and myeloid-derived suppressor cell trafficking. Consequently, targeted inhibition of CXCR2 attenuates persistent inflammatory responses and modulates immune cell dynamics within the tumor microenvironment. [1][2]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
