Biological Activity

ASN007 is an orally active, potent inhibitor of ERK1/2. By targeting ERK1/2 within the MAPK signaling cascade, this compound inhibits downstream phosphorylation events necessary for tumor cell proliferation and survival. Disruption of ERK signaling blocks oncogenic signaling pathways, making it particularly useful in research investigating cancers driven by RAS mutations and aberrant MAPK pathway reactivation. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
