Biological Activity
AS1269574 is a small-molecule G protein-coupled receptor 119 (GPR119) agonist displaying an EC50 of 2.5 μM in HEK293 cells transiently expressing human GPR119. Receptor activation elevates intracellular cAMP levels and selectively enhances glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in MIN-6 pancreatic β-cells under high-glucose (16.8 mM) conditions. Additionally, AS1269574 stimulates glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) secretion in enteroendocrine cells through TRPA1 cation channel activation. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
