APD668 (JNJ28630368) is a potent GPR119 agonist that selectively targets and activates the GPR119 receptor. Activation of GPR119 stimulates intracellular cAMP accumulation and downstream signaling, promoting glucose-dependent insulin secretion and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) release. Through these actions, GPR119 agonism enhances glucose homeostasis and metabolic regulation, making it an important mechanism in metabolic research. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
