AOA (Aminooxyacetic acid) hemihydrochloride is an inhibitor of pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzymes, including aminobutyrate aminotransferase and cystathionine β-synthase (CBS). Furthermore, AOA hemihydrochloride effectively inhibits the malate-aspartate shuttle (MAS) by targeting transaminase activity. Disruption of these pathways alters amino acid and polyamine metabolism, suppresses mitochondrial respiration, and inhibits proliferation across multiple cancer cell lines. [1][2]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
