Salidroside is a natural phenylpropanoid glycoside that functions as a prolyl endopeptidase inhibitor. It activates AKT/mTOR signaling to alleviate cancer cachexia symptoms and enhances PINK1/Parkin-mediated mitophagy to protect dopaminergic neurons. Additionally, salidroside inhibits cell proliferation and suppresses tumor growth by inducing cell-cycle arrest and activating caspase-3 and caspase-8 mediated apoptotic pathways in human breast cancer cells. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
