Phlorizin is a natural dihydrochalcone flavonoid and non-selective sodium-glucose cotransporter inhibitor targeting hSGLT1 and hSGLT2, while also inhibiting Na+/K+-ATPase. By competitively blocking sodium-dependent glucose transport across renal brush border epithelial cell membranes, phlorizin suppresses tubular glucose reabsorption. This downstream blockade promotes glucosuria, lowers blood glucose concentrations, and significantly modulates systemic carbohydrate homeostasis. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
