PHA-665752 is a potent, ATP-competitive c-Met kinase inhibitor (IC50 =, Ki = 4 nM) displaying over 50-fold selectivity for c-Met over other tyrosine and serine-threonine kinases. By blocking constitutive and HGF-stimulated c-Met phosphorylation, it suppresses downstream signal transduction. This targeted inhibition impairs tumor cell proliferation, survival, motility, invasion, and morphological changes, while demonstrating marked tumor growth inhibition in mouse xenograft models. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
