7.1 Precautions for safe handling
Methocarbamol tablets should be stored in tight containers at a temperature less than 40 °C, preferably between 15-30 °C. methocarbamol injection should be stored at 15-30 °C; freezing of the injection should be avoided.
IV infusion solutions prepared from methocarbamol injection should not be refrigerated since precipitation and haze formation may occur. At 4 °C, precipitation and haze occur at methocarbamol concentrations of about 15 mg/mL or higher when the drug is diluted in 5% dextrose, 5% dextrose and 0.45% sodium chloride, or 0.9% sodium chloride injection and also occasionally occur at lower concentrations.

7.2 Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Methocarbamol tablets should be stored in tight containers at a temperature less than 40 °C, preferably between 15-30 °C. methocarbamol injection should be stored at 15-30 °C; freezing of the injection should be avoided.

12.1 Toxicity
Methocarbamol's production and use as a muscle relaxant may result in its release to the environment through various waste streams. If released to air, an estimated vapor pressure of 3.4X10-7 mm Hg at 25 °C indicates methocarbamol will exist in both the vapor and particulate phases in the atmosphere. Vapor-phase methocarbamol will be degraded in the atmosphere by reaction with photochemically-produced hydroxyl radicals; the half-life for this reaction in air is estimated to be 8.5 hours. Particulate-phase methocarbamol will be removed from the atmosphere by wet or dry deposition. Methocarbamol does not contain chromophores that absorb at wavelengths >290 nm and therefore is not expected to be susceptible to direct photolysis by sunlight. If released to soil, methocarbamol is expected to have high mobility based upon an estimated Koc of 51. Volatilization from moist soil surfaces is not expected to be an important fate process based upon an estimated Henry's Law constant of 6.5X10-16 atm-cu m/mole. Methocarbamol is not expected to volatilize from dry soil surfaces based upon its vapor pressure. Biodegradation of methcarbamol in soil and water is not expected to be an important fate process based on the results of a Japanese MITI test where methocarbamol reached 4% of its theoretical BOD in activated sludge after 4 weeks. If released into water, methocarbamol is not expected to adsorb to suspended solids and sediment based upon the estimated Koc. Volatilization from water surfa
