Ketoprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that functions as a dual COX-1 and COX-2 inhibitor, with preferential selectivity for COX-1 over COX-2. By reversibly inhibiting COX-1 and COX-2 enzymatic activity, ketoprofen blocks the conversion of arachidonic acid into pro-inflammatory prostaglandin precursors. This inhibition attenuates downstream inflammatory mediator production, leading to antipyretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory phenotypes in cellular and preclinical models. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
