Isoliquiritigenin is a natural chalcone flavonoid and potent aldose reductase inhibitor with an IC50 of. It acts as a sirtuin-activating compound and modulates key downstream cell signaling cascades, including NF-kB and MAPK pathways. Consequently, isoliquiritigenin suppresses tumor cell proliferation, reduces pulmonary metastasis, and stimulates nitric oxide production in macrophages to enhance immune-mediated cytotoxicity and exert anti-tumor activities.
