Indomethacin is a nonselective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that acts as a potent inhibitor of COX-1 and COX-2. By suppressing COX enzymatic activity, it blocks the biosynthesis of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins from arachidonic acid, thereby attenuating downstream inflammatory signalling pathways. Consequently, indomethacin reduces prostaglandin production to alleviate cellular inflammatory responses, pain, and tissue swelling in various preclinical disease models. [1][2]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
