Drospirenone is a synthetic progestin that acts as a progesterone receptor agonist and mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist. By selectively binding and activating the progesterone receptor, it regulates downstream progesterone-responsive gene expression. Simultaneously, it blocks mineralocorticoid receptor signaling, inhibiting aldosterone-mediated sodium retention and water reabsorption. These dual actions exert potent progestational, antimineralocorticoid, and mild antiandrogenic biological activities that closely profile natural progesterone in preclinical signaling studies. [1][2]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
