Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker targeting L-type voltage-gated calcium channels and N-type calcium channels. By inhibiting L-type channels in vascular smooth muscle cells and N-type channels in sympathetic nerve terminals, cilnidipine suppresses cellular calcium influx, blunts neurotransmission, and relaxes vascular smooth muscle. This dual target inhibition attenuates norepinephrine release from sympathetic nerve endings and decreases vascular tone. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
