Biological Activity
Apatinib mesylate (YN968D1) is a potent, selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting VEGFR-2 (IC50 = 1 nM), Ret (IC50 = 13 nM), c-Kit (IC50 = 429 nM), and c-Src (IC50 = 530 nM). By suppressing VEGFR-2 signaling, it inhibits VEGF-stimulated endothelial cell migration, proliferation, and capillary-like tube formation. Furthermore, apatinib blocks downstream pro-survival signaling pathways, suppressing tumor angiogenesis and inducing apoptosis and autophagy in cancer cells. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).

Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer longer shelf life compared to stock solutions.
