Biological Activity

AT7519 is a multi-cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) inhibitor targeting CDK1, CDK2, CDK4, CDK5, CDK6, and CDK9 with IC50 values ranging from 10 to. Inhibition of CDKs disrupts cell cycle progression and transcription, leading to reduced RNA polymerase II phosphorylation and downregulation of the anti-apoptotic protein Mcl-1. This targeted pathway inhibition results in cell cycle arrest and the induction of apoptosis in tumor cells. [1][2]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
