A-966492 is a potent inhibitor of PARP1 and PARP2. By suppressing poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation, it impairs the repair of DNA single-strand breaks, leading to the accumulation of DNA double-strand breaks and promotion of synthetic lethality in cancer cells. Furthermore, A-966492 exhibits oral bioavailability and robust antitumor efficacy in vivo both as a single agent and in combination with chemotherapeutic agents. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
