GsMTx4 is a peptide-based mechanosensitive Piezo1 channel inhibitor. It affects Piezo1-Ca2+ and RhoA/ROCK1 signaling pathways by blocking mechanical stretch-induced intracellular calcium influx, effectively inhibiting mechanical stress-induced apoptosis, inflammation, and extracellular matrix degradation.
