ZX-29 is a potent, selective anaplastic lymphoma kinase inhibitor targeting ALK (IC, ALK LM (IC, and ALK G1202R (IC. Inhibition of ALK signaling suppresses cancer cell proliferation and triggers G1-phase cell cycle arrest. Furthermore, ZX-29 activates endoplasmic reticulum stress-mediated pathways to induce apoptosis and protective autophagy in ALK-rearranged non-small cell lung cancer cells. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
