Biological Activity

Zasocitinib (TAK- is a highly selective, allosteric tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) inhibitor. By specifically targeting the TYK2 pseudokinase (Janus homology 2, JH2) domain, it suppresses TYK2 kinase activity and inhibits downstream STAT protein phosphorylation. This disrupts signal transduction induced by IL-12, IL-23, and type I interferons, resulting in the downregulation of pro-inflammatory cytokine pathways and suppression of autoimmune disease phenotypes. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
