YX968 is a synthetic proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTAC) that functions as a dual degrader of histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3) and HDAC8. Targeted degradation of HDAC3 and HDAC8 perturbs epigenetic histone deacetylation dynamics, impairing chromatin remodeling and transcriptional regulation in cancer cells. Consequently, this selective degradation leads to cell cycle arrest, inhibition of cell proliferation, and induction of apoptotic cell death in vitro. [1]
