Biological Activity

YD23 is a proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTAC) that selectively induces the degradation of SMARCA2. By targeting the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex subunit, SMARCA2 degradation reduces chromatin accessibility at gene enhancers governing cell cycle regulation and cell growth pathways. Consequently, this downregulation of cell cycle genes selectively inhibits the proliferation and growth of SMARCA4-mutant non-small cell lung cancer cells. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
