WZ4003 is a selective kinase inhibitor targeting NUAK1 (IC50 of 20 nM) and NUAK2 (IC50 of 100 nM) in cell-based assays, displaying high selectivity over 139 other tested kinases. Inhibition of NUAK1 and NUAK2 disrupts downstream LKB1 signaling pathways, resulting in suppressed cell proliferation, reduced cell invasion, and impaired migration in cellular disease models.

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
