WDR5-0103 is a small-molecule antagonist of WD repeat domain 5 (WDR5) that binds to WDR5 with a dissociation constant (Kd) of. By directly targeting the MLL-binding pocket of WDR5, WDR5-0103 disrupts the assembly and catalytic activity of the mixed-lineage leukemia (MLL) histone methyltransferase complex, thereby inhibiting downstream gene transcription and suppressing cellular proliferation in leukemia models. Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
