Biological Activity

WAY-340935 is a quinazoline derivative that acts as a synthetic vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) inhibitor. By inhibiting VEGFR2 kinase activity, the compound blocks the VEGF signaling pathway and its downstream signaling cascades. This targeted pathway suppression impairs endothelial cell function and produces antiproliferative activity against the H460 non-small cell lung cancer cell line. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
