Vipivotide tetraxetan (PSMA-617) is a high-affinity inhibitor of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) with a Ki of 0.37 nM. By binding selectively to the extracellular domain of PSMA, it targets PSMA-expressing tumor cells and mediates rapid cellular internalization. This specific target binding impairs PSMA enzymatic activity and enables effective delivery of payload conjugates or radiolabels to prostate cancer cells.

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
