Trilaciclib is a potent, selective, and reversible inhibitor of CDK4/cyclin D1 (IC50 1 nM) and CDK6/cyclin D3 (IC50 4 nM). By suppressing CDK4/6 activity, it prevents phosphorylation of the retinoblastoma protein (Rb), blocking the G1 to S phase cell cycle progression. This inhibition transiently arrests hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells in the G1 phase, protecting bone marrow cells from chemotherapy-induced cytotoxic damage. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
